After months of drooling over it online, I finally decided to purchase a Mansur Gavriel bucket bag! I first came across this bag on Purseblog and thought it was gorgeous! Then, the brand kept appearing in my Instagram feed, my Pinterest feed, and everywhere else it seemed. And each time I saw it, I fell in love with it more.
I decided to get the mini bucket bag because the regular size seemed to be a bit large. I got the Italian vegetable tanned leather with Rosa as the interior color. I went with the vegetable tanned leather because I love the idea of it darkening with age. I like when things show its wear, in a good way.
I haven’t used the bag yet but I already love how super light weight it is. I’m not a fan of bags that are heavy when empty, so this is perfect! Since the inside is patent leather its kind of stiff at the moment, but I’m sure that’ll change once I start using it.
The saying goes, if you love something then you should set it free. But what if you just can’t gain the strength to do it?
Hi, I’m Destiny and I’m a bagaholic. I’ve been obsessed with handbags since I was a little girl. I still remember the first purse I begged my grandmother to buy me from Payless while out shopping with her. It was a purple messenger bag that had a mirror, slot for an eyebrow brush, eyebrow comb, and an eyeshadow applier — it was hideous! She bought it and I wore it everywhere. All these years later and I still get a rush from seeing a great bag. Of course my taste has matured since then, thank goodness.
A few days ago I told myself that I would try out Poshmark and would sell my Rose Gold Kate Spade Wellesley Quinn bag. I took all of the necessary photos for a great Poshmark post, good angles, bag tags, etc. As I was going to put it back into my closet, I got a glance of myself wearing it. It was love at first sight all over again! I just knew I couldn’t sell it! So I didn’t and I’m not and you can’t make me. Its such a beautiful color and I do get a lot of wears with it. And Poshmark kind of confuses the hell out of me. Why do I have so many followers!? Why do people just like and reshare instead of buy?!
I will eventually have to let go of some of my bags, to make room for new ones of course, but Rosie isn’t going anywhere just yet.
Here’s a jam for today. Came across this cool artist and his songs are awesome!
Since WordPress is pressuring me, I’ll create my first blog post.
I just recently moved to DC and pass the CityCenter shops everyday on my way to work and always wanted to check it out, but didn’t have a reason to. I’ve recently been eyeing a few handbags pretty hard, and used this as my excuse to check this place out. Luckily, my best friend works in DC and was free Friday evening to spend a few hours window shopping with me. We went pass a few stores, but my favorite was Gucci. I finally got to see the Dionysus and all its beautiful glory in person. This bag is seriously gorgeous! The sales rep was nice enough to pull out all different sizes and designs for us to look at (knowing we weren’t going to be purchasing anything). I’m really loving the mini version.
After that, we went to Dolcezza Gelato and both ordered delicious Vanilla Bean Lattes.
I didn’t leave the shops empty handed! I decided to buy the new “Spice Things Up Camel March” card holder from Kate Spade. I’ve been wanting to downsize my big bulky wallet for a long time now, and loved the design of this one.
I definitely will be taking another trip to CityCenter, maybe then I’ll get to try out one of the restaurants there.
** While drinking lattes, I heard this song and tried to use Google to help me find the artist. Google let me down but luckily some nice lady over heard me talking about it and told me it was a remake of Wicked Game by Chris Isaak which helped me find it. It was redone by London Grammar, I love them! Heres a SoundCloud link to listen:
